ISF, or Importer Security Filing, is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection requirement for qualifying cargo arriving in the United States by ocean vessel. It is commonly called ISF 10+2 because the importer provides specific advance cargo information while vessel operators provide additional information to CBP.

For most applicable shipments, the ISF information must be transmitted to CBP at least 24 hours before the cargo is laden aboard the vessel at the foreign port.
